In this session that will be run in the UC Queer space, we invite all students who identify as LGBTIQA+ or are questioning, to join Artie McCarthy and Fox Fromholtz from UC’s Pride Alliance to join a conversation about what respect for LGBTIQA+ students looks like at UC. This session will explore what respect looks like both within LGBTIQA+ communities, but also in the context of the broader UC community, and share some tips for what students can do if they feel like they are not being respected on campus.This is an inclusive space where you can participate at your own comfort level. The Victim Survivor Voice is a discussion-based community listening program open to people over the age of 18, who have lived or living experience of domestic, family and/or sexual violence and currently live in the ACT. The program aims to provide opportunities for adults with lived and living experience of domestic, family and/or sexual violence to influence and inform work addressing and responding to domestic, family, and sexual violence in the ACT. This will be a safe, supportive and inclusive space facilitated by the Victim/Survivor Voice team at Women's Health Matters.

In preparation for the seasonal change, we open the floor to those who feel called to connect to self, while witnessing and being with what is present. Come as we journey through movement and breath to help us come into our bodies with the use of a soundscape and guided techniques. Reflecting on what has been, what is now and have a little boogie. The intention is to create a safe space for people to listen to their individual body’s needs and follow the natural movement. No experience needed, just a willingness to be open to following your internal compass and play.

Sometimes it is hard to meet new people, or to find opportunities to practise speaking in English. We wanted to provide a chance to help you with this. Our English Conversation Club is an informal time, not a structured class. In a small group, we talk about a different topic each meeting, with a native English speaker. Improve your English by practising your speaking and listening, and make some new friends along the way! We are extremely excited to announce that we'll be hitting the road in support of our new record, Like Love.
